Descrição:: Esta contribución tiene como objetivo estudiar la relación entre la historia del personaje Magneto de los X-Men, la historia del Holocausto y el método paratraductivo creado por la Escuela de Vigo. Consideraremos los cómics como fuentes históricas, porque representan el pasado y utilizan el relato ficcional como forma de pensar y problematizar la realidad histórica. Presentaremos la noción de paratraducción para demostrar cómo esta herramienta es fundamental para la investigación sobre este tema. El análisis se realizará a través de los cómics de los X-Men que buscan reconstruir el recorrido biográfico del personaje Magneto, pasando por la vivencia del trauma social colectivo de la Shoah. Así, nuestra intención es mostrar cómo la sacralización de un tema ya tan banalizado por el “exceso de lenguaje y representación” acaba induciendo narrativas que serían más “apropiadas” que otras para representar el trauma social colectivo; This contribution aims to study the relationship between the history of the character Magneto from the X-Men, the history of the Holocaust, and the paratranslational method created by the School of Vigo. 12. < mods:abstract > Esta contribución tiene como objetivo estudiar la relación entre la historia del personaje Magneto de los X-Men, la historia del Holocausto y el método paratraductivo creado por la Escuela de Vigo. Consideraremos los cómics como fuentes históricas, porque representan el pasado y utilizan el relato ficcional como forma de pensar y problematizar la realidad histórica. Presentaremos la noción de paratraducción para demostrar cómo esta herramienta es fundamental para la investigación sobre este tema. El análisis se realizará a través de los cómics de los X-Men que buscan reconstruir el recorrido biográfico del personaje Magneto, pasando por la vivencia del trauma social colectivo de la Shoah. Así, nuestra intención es mostrar cómo la sacralización de un tema ya tan banalizado por el “exceso de lenguaje y representación” acaba induciendo narrativas que serían más “apropiadas” que otras para representar el trauma social colectivo </ mods:abstract >
13. < mods:abstract > This contribution aims to study the relationship between the history of the character Magneto from the X-Men, the history of the Holocaust, and the paratranslational method created by the School of Vigo. We will consider comics as historical sources because they represent the past and use fictional narratives as a way of thinking and problematizing historical reality. We will present the notion of paratranslation to demonstrate how this tool is fundamental for research on this topic. The analysis will be carried out through the X-Men comics that seek to reconstruct the biographical journey of the character Magneto, passing through the experience of the collective social trauma of the Shoah. Thus, our intention is to show how the sacralization of a subject already so trivialized by the “excess of language and representation” ends up inducing narratives that would be more “appropriate” than others to represent the collective social trauma </ mods:abstract >
